Dr. Rosengarten is an obstetrician and gynaecologist working in Vancouver British Columbia. He is an associate professor at the University of British Columbia. He works out of B.C. Women’s Hospital where he practices obstetrics and out of St. Paul’s Hospital where he provides gynaecological care.
Dr. Mark Rosengarten graduated from medical school in Johannesburg a long time ago. He graduated with the highest temperature in his class!
He immigrated to Canada in 1988 and moved to Northern Manitoba where he worked as a rural family doctor for 3 years.
After relocating to Vancouver in 1991, he started his residency at UBC in the department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and graduated in 1995. Some say he has not left the hospital since.
His scope of practice includes high and low risk obstetrical care, minimally invasive surgery as well as general gynaecological surgery when he can get some OR time. He also provides well women care as well as care to the worried well.
He sits on a number of committees at B.C. Women’s Hospital and is involved in resident and peer teaching. He has won numerous teaching awards. His largest award was a gift voucher to the UBC bookstore.
He is not on social media but he can be quite social.
Now that his 3 children and wife are computer literate the only useful contributions he makes around the house are walking the dog and killing large spiders.
